India Launches AI-Based Platform for Tech Jobseekers with Disabilities

Indian Institute of Technology in Hyderabad (IIT-Hyderabad) has created "Swarajability" an AI-based job platform for people with disabilities to seek employment in the tech sector. Kotak Mahindra Bank funded the web-based app developed by Visual Quest India. Youth4Jobs offered its experience in skilling and job linkages.

Swarajability app will first analyze a registered individual's available information and suggest the available opportunities. It will also inform of required training needed to offer better opportunities based on the individual's preferences.

India currently has 21 million individuals with disabilities, of which 70% are unemployed or underemployed. Swarajability will ensure that these individuals have the necessary skills and opportunities. It also supports NGOs, governments, and educational institutions to promote diversity and inclusion.
