IRS Media Center to Offer Resources and Services for Visually Impaired Taxpayers

The US Internal Revenue Services (IRS) Alternate Media Center offers resources and accessibility services for visually impaired taxpayers. The content is available in several formats for use with assistive technology, and the services also include screen reading software, refreshable Braille displays, and screen magnifying software.

People can view and download any tax form and publication in an alternate form, including text-only, Braille-ready files, browser-friendly HTML, and accessible and large print PDF. Those who require access to accessible tax forms, publications, or instructions can download them on the Accessible Forms and Publications page on the IRS web page.

People can also fill out Form 9000 to choose to receive tax notices and penalty notices in Braille, large print, audio, or electronic format. They can also use Accessibility Helpline to ask queries related to accessible services and alternative media formats available.
